Not a particularly eventful weekend for me as things go. On Friday night the wife and I headed for Tescos. We thought we would be smart tonight and go a bit later and hope it was a bit quieter. It was a bit quieter but there was shite all food left! Went home and watched some Friday night tv. There wasn't really much worthy of watching other than Jonathan Ross' show which was quite entertaining.

Saturday saw my team travelling away to Birmingham. Didn't hold out much hope for this one considering the way we had been playing recently but we did

Alton Towers

Went to Alton Towers yesterday with a friend who had half price tickets. It was good. I'm never a big fan of theme parks for two reasons, the cost and the queueing. Though there were still a fair number of people there we never queued for anything for more than 15 minutes which was a novelty for me.

We both couldn't help but wonder just why so many people were here on a cloudy obscure Wednesday at the end of September, especially so many kids?

Its been a couple of years since my last visit here and there were two new attractions, 'Rita'

The Weekend.

My weekend was largely fuelled by beer and I am suffering for it now! Had friends over on Friday night. Had a nice meal at our house, a joint effort lasagne cooked with my wife. We then went to the pub and made good use of extended opening hours.

I awoke at 7.20am on Saturday morning with some sort of war going on inside my head. Two paracetemol and a twenty minute walk put paid to this. I was going to see City play Colchester today and I needed a clear head so I could focus on the quality football I was going to be witnessing and the glorious

A good 3-1 away win at Hereford last night. Why do I do it to myself? Last night I sat in my living room listening to it. It was dire but I still couldn't bring myself to turn it off! Dedication I guess ;-) I just hope our season gets going now. At the moment we are just stuttering and spluttering.

Looking forward to taking my Dad to the glamour clash with erm, Colchester Utd! I am hoping we will be dazzled with classy fotball and lots of goals. I also hear that there is a nice new bar to drink in!

Its been a while since I last wrote on here. I have to say straight away that the 'o' on my keyboard is knackered after I spilt beer over it (the keyboard not just the letter 'o') I now have to hit it very hard and sometimes forget so apologies for that!

Whats to tell? Well life rumbles on in the same way it always does. Nothing that exciting has really happened. I'm still bitter and twisted and crap at DIY. For one reason or another which I really don't want to go into I am in the midst of a 10 day break from work. A sore point at present. Still

Was quite painful to see our opposition on Saturday celebrate promotion to the Premiership right under our noses. Its a shame we decided to only start playing football five weeks ago or maybe we might have been up there? Was also a shame to see us come within five minutes of another win, oh well.

Celebrated my 29th birthday on Saturday. Had a nice family pub lunch out parked in front of Liverpool v Everton and several pints of Guinness. The evening was spent dancing and drinking way too much. I really could have done without the clocks going

I have a cloudy head this morning after a few too many Guinness' last night! I know I was one day late but because I was working early on Saturday morning I couldn't drink too much on St Paddy's day.

Another win for us yesterday. 13 points clear of danger now, surely we are safe though the manager says not. Sacking Levein seems to have been a genius decision and it would seem Kelly (or is it Lee?!) will be in charge next season.

Am off to work in a couple of hours time. I work alternate weekends. I hate working them. Right now I am chilled

So whats going on in the world of Stipey then?

Had a good weekend. Was my twin brother in laws birthday and one half of them appeared with his girlfriend and we had a few bevvies on Saturday night.

Sunday was a family gathering. Now I cannot make up my mind about these events. I kind of like them, I kind of don't. Advantages - Great food. Erm... No, Its nice to msee everyone and sit around a table eating copious amounts of food but after dinner the day sort of, well, dies on it's arse really. Everyone falls asleep in front of the telly or

Have been mostly working, boring as it sounds! Wife was away for the weekend so I had the dullest of weekends ever. Worked and slept mainly.

Was pleased with our 3-2 win at home to Hull on Saturday. Did anyone see Joey Gudjonsson spotting the keeper off his line and score from the halfway line? It was a classic. He also bagged another. Going to be sorry to see him go in the summer, one of the bright stars of the team.

Is anyone else a fan of The Magic Numbers? The more and more I listen to this album the more I am getting to love it. Was hoping

Have had a nice couple of days off work and doing not a lot really which has been nice. The dog continues to bark! Had a visit from an environmental officer today which was great. Now he has heard it for himself he says there is no way this can be accepted.

Its still a long old process. We have to have sound monitoring equipment installed next week and then they will have notice served on them to stop the noise.

After a long period of being calm and collected about it I now just want to go round there and swear at them a lot but I know this
