It was 3 months snce the party from Boundary park, and a summer of utter boredom but Finally we are back!!!!!

Starting to suffer withdrawal symptoms when the 1st person walked through the turnstyle today I hugged them,as we started a season with our annual friendly against Bury.

It welcomed 3 new players to the starting line up, Lee Unsworth from Bury, Barry Dempsey and ex England Schoolboy player Tom Rutter

Of course its too early to say about the new players, but It seems the team had a beer too many in the off season, as we lost 4-1,

CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!

well if you count the Manchester Cup as a trophy

Our last 2 months our form has been incredible, I cant believe that this is the same team of players that were bottom of the league by 11 points at Christmas and yet they gained safety in the end of the season and get a Cup out of it.

The last reviews of the season.

A ONE OFF LOSS - V Chorley
There hasn't been much info on here today as Taterman and his American friends were at todays game as were quite a few who usually get scores from the website.
The first half

BRILLIANT!!!!!

We finally did it!!! 15 years in the making but we are finally in another Final of a contest, but like a bus, were in 2!!!!!

Usually at this stage, i am going into my nomal faze of saying our league form is crap!!!

But you will be amazed by our form.....

23/2/08

Lancy fall apart

The Boro nearly set the league record, for the highest away win of the season, and we deserved to win 5-1
A fantastic first half and a hat-trick for Steve Howson led to Boro's best display this season!
I must admit that I can't remember

What i would do to see a live football match...

For the last 3 weeks i havent been able to get my weekly football fix due to the sodding rain, but we have had a pretty decent Xmas since my last post

I cant remember a few games due to excessive drinking, so i found a few reports on t'interweb to show our progress since the 1-4 drubbing against Retford(also for regular readers the Newcastle game ended 1-1)

Starting with Clitheroe:
BOROUGH have only themselves to blame for blowing a 2-0 half-time lead which should have seen them notch that

Well its here now. The start of life against 17 other teams in the Unibond 1st division north. Our lowest posistion for years

No longer do we face the ex conference teams of Gateshead and Marine but now we have to go to the even more obscure Garfoth and Newcastle Blue Star

The favourites for our Division is split between us and FC United(minus Rhodri Giggs). Just 1 freindly left before our first trip to Wakefield

our team looks a lot better than last season. with a lot of new incomming players from acadameys including 21 year old Jamie

The news reached the Club long before i found out that our club President Bernard Manning had died from Liver Diesese yesterday afternoon, I have never seen it rain so hard over Manchester yesterday.

My condolences to his family

I remember meeting him at a league game against Hyde in 2004, i was selling programmes and just came into the boardroom to give the float back when he called me over by the wrong name.I didnt correct him out of politeness and just went back into the ground for the game. After the game i came in to find out the next
