My word! It’s time again to satisfy your weekly cravings for UKfpl news!
I will try my best, dear reader, I will try my best!
First to the team featured in this forthcoming round of predicting. You can pontificate on the likes of: Spurs, Pompey, Covvee, The Owls, The Ferrets, The Northern Root Voles and the Old Man of Football.
Some, or all, of which, may, or may not, be made up.
Just like my grammar.
Anyhoo, who scored the most points last week then? Well...
Top of the tree was wasser from Div3. His score of 1200pts (which is surely the defacto score for tree toppers everywhere) saw him slip past the rest of the pack and take top spot.
Congrats wasser!
Those who failed to take make that extra inch of ground up included: high/h (Div5), pomeydude03 (Div13), stickytoffee (Div8) and chimagpie (Div10). All of who scored 1100pts.
Further back again there was a whole flock of peeps scoring 1000pts. So many that my little tired fingers can’t be bothered to tap out all of their names – but well done whoever you are!
So you will all be aware that the football season is galloping to a close.
And you may also be aware of a small tournament taking place somewhere in Europe during the summer months. (The World Trophy - or some daft thing. I’m sure it will never catch on?)
What you probably won’t be aware of is our very own, spanking new, UKfpl World Cup game!
That’s right my friends, Summer UKfpl action is coming to town!
You’ll be able to take your predictioneering skills on to the world stage and pit your wits against the likes of Costa Rica!
Not only that but you will also be getting you first glimpse at our spangly new look.
You see you think we’re just a bunch of footy loving wasters, when in fact we’re actually a dedicated team of football wasters!
We’ve been beavering away to bring a much smarter, nicer and generally more lovely predicting experience. Using technology passed down through literally years of the internet we can now bring you the ultimate predicting pleasure.
To see what I’m jabbering on about, set your browser to www.ukfpl.com/worldcup and look for yourself.
Then sign up for the world cup comp.
Then tell all your friends, family, pets and aliens.
And their friends.
Just do it!
See you next week!
