Another week and I’m struggling to come up with anything to say. I’ve had a busy week, what with trying to build the new UKfpl engine for richy (it’ll be very dark the way it’s going...) and re-launching my own blog. So I think I'm a bit drained!
But Sensible Soccer is coming back, so that’s good news!
Anyway, the new games are waiting for you. For your entertainment this week we have: Villa, Liverpool, Newcastle, Birmingham, Portsmouth, Wigan, West Ham, West Brom... er hold on that’s a lot of Premier League teams?
Blimey! Scoring could be high next week!
Speaking of which, the weekly totals seem to be firmly back on track, with yet another 1500pt’er:
1 – Ayrsie – Div22 – 1500pts
---------------------------------------
2 – andyvale – Div21 - 1400pts
2 – Scottie – Div17 - 1400pts
2 – dannyb – Div2 – 1400pts
---------------------------------------
3 - santini spurs – Div15 - 1300pts
3 – DABBER – Div10 - 1300pts
3 – stickytoffee – Div11 - 1300pts
3 – sportsnapper – Div23 - 1300pts
3 – Claire – Div1 - 1300pts
Big congratulations go to Ayrsie for his fine total, and for flying the flag for the lower leagues and new FPLers everywhere (mostly the lower leagues, surprisingly). With andyvale and sportsnapper also weighing in from the Div Twenties it was a good week all round for the league-ularly challenged.
Except, of course, for dannyb and the gorgeous Claire (she’s my fiancée so I’m allowed to say that) who proudly flew the flag for the elite.
Claire has also suggested that I mention that the current top three of Div1 is made up entirely of the fairer sex (with ShazzaRooney and Lou being the others)...
I can’t tell you how tempted I am to insert a sink/oven/shoes joke here...
but I like my testicles where they are.
And on that note I’ll just give a quick run down of the Fantasy League before I pop off.
At the top we still have the seemingly unstoppable Super Leeds!! who are being supremely coached by Salima Abbas. Super Leeds!! have a commanding 30pts advantage over the rest of the pack, where it’s starting to get tight.
Queens park celtic (Martin Fox) are still hanging on to second but with Mister magpie (Robin Bodicoat) bagging 92pts this week they are coming under some serious pressure.
Although 92pts is undoubtedly a great score it was Not Now Bernard (Daniel Brownsill) that scored highest this week - with a massive 101pts – with Chimbonda, Nolan, Owen and Lampard (well duh!) in the side that’s no surprise. It’s just a good job Terry H didn’t play!
Ah well that’s it from me, I’m off to relax for the first time in two weeks!

(Was that a click I heard coming from Anfield tonight???)
