As Chiquita mentioned last week he is now a married man (I hear the groan of disappointment from his legions of fans) and enjoying life in the Caribbean for a couple of weeks, so unfortunately you are stuck with my ramblings for a while (more disappointment).
As the eagle eyed of you may have spotted, last week was not a good one for us here at FPL Towers. Firstly I killed my machine, so feel sorry for the poor FPL Cup semi finalists (more on that later), whose scores weren’t done until yesterday. Secondly in the weekend of the 17th and 18th I somehow confused Southampton with Sunderland and scored their match 4-0 when it had been 5-2. Due to the fact that no one had for some reason guessed the score would be 5-2, but 2 guessed it would be 4-0, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt! I’m generous like that.
Anyway, to this week!
With a splattering of old school fplers and newbies, the highest scores list looks a gudden.
1. jimwalden 1600 Division 8
2. djkill 1400 Division 4
3. kevinm 1400 Division 2
4. dalboy 1400 League 44
5. Chocolate Starfish 1400 League 39
6. u wot utd benidorm 1400 Division 9
If you are the real jimwalden, please stand up! Yes, getting a quality score of 1600 by scoring in every single game with 4 perfects, and 4 correct results. Congratulations. Much better than my 100 anyway.
FPL Cup
Interestingly not one of our four semi finalists guessed that Manchester City would be Preston, so both fixtures went down to Attendance. Unfortunately for bungler and jim_falvey, they were the furthest away so we have an exciting final of bugalugs vs. no1spireiteuk who have to predict Bolton vs Blackburn. In my position I am obviously not biased as to who wins, but for those who don’t know I am a Mansfield fan, but I’ll leave it at that! ;-)
All I think leaves me to do is to tell you which games would like your little mice to tickle their drop down lists. Matches from Portsmouth, Watford, West Brom, Brentford, Carlisle, Barnet and Lincoln City. So what are you waiting for? Go on then. Nothing more to see here.
Until next week, happy predicting.
