Welcome again to the wonderful world of the UKfpl mailshot.

I’m afraid I’m going to have to try and keep it brief again this week. Not because I forgot about or anything mind...

Last weeks results looked like this:

Manchester City 0 Vs 2 Reading
Wigan 1 Vs 0 Portsmouth
Sheff Wed 1 Vs 3 Preston
Hull 0 Vs 1 West Brom
Cheltenham 2 Vs 1 Swansea
Brighton 0 Vs 0 Rotherham
Boston Utd 0 Vs 6 Grimsby
Torquay 1 Vs 1 Barnet

Hmmm let’s see how many guessed Grimsby’s pummelling of Boston... wow 3,432 of you!

OK, that’s obviously a lie... it was actually none – big surprise! No one got even close, to be honest - only one person went as high as 0-3!

Most other scores were fairly normal, perhaps with the exception of the Preston game (26 of you managed that one anyway).

Despite all that, scoring was a touch on the poor side:

1 - boing boing (Div42) – 1100pts
----------------------------------------------------
2 - bawilliams (Div69) – 1000pts
2 - arsenal123 (Div65) – 1000pts
----------------------------------------------------
3 – SuperSeanMcCarthy (Div58) – 900pts
3 – MICKERIC (Div78) – 900pts
3 – Michael (Div39) – 900pts

Looking at the list there are a couple of interesting features.

The first being to congratulate boing boing on beating everybody else by perfectly picking the matches at Brighton, Cheltenahm and Hull – as well as picking the right result for Sheff Wed and City.

The other interesting point is that every single person on the list is currently competing in the nether reaches of the league system. I mean the highest placed is Michael – in Division 39!

The new boys are showing us how it’s done!

This week they will be pitting their wits against games in Newcastle, Preston, Plymouth, Bristol and glamorous Milton Keynes!

The FPL Cup is now really getting down to the nitty gritty as we move into the quarter final stage. For this weeks challenge we have selected a simple English Premiership match... well simple in the fact that it features Bolton and Fulham. The match itself could be quite tricky...

Anyway that’ll do you, I’ll see you next week!
