I hold my hands up now and say that goading Everton fans about the FA cup, just a couple of hours before being slapped around Anfield by the young pups of Arsenal, was not the most sensible thing I’ve ever done.
I am, however, completely unapologetic.
Until the Derby, anyhow.
Anyway, here are last week’s results:

A home Chelsea win against Wigan was hardly a surprise. Lately, however, with Chelski’s uncharacteristically leaky defence it could have been a tricky one to get right.
As it happens, the 4-0 thumping was predicted by a healthy 41 of you.
The results elsewhere certainly have a look of predictability about them, so let’s see how you did.

Ooooh yes, absolutely lovely. There’s a lot to like here. First the scores! Superb high scores from nmarchant (Perfects at Chelsea (excellent!), Blackburn, Blackpool, Bradford and Derby plus a result from Stockport) and Sharpmeister (Perfects: Blackburn, Stockport, Bradford, and Stoke. Results: Blackpool, Derby and Chester).
Well done to you both.
Then there’s the fact there was strength in depth - with great scores from the users in both second and third.
And best of all – it’s all very symmetrical! A very nice, balanced 2x2x2 table. I like it when my life is made easily – and that was easy.
Next weeks games include Liverpool v Chelsea (I wish I could be optimistic...), plus Villa, Leicester, Wolves and Grimsby.
The FPL Cup rolls on, this time into the crazy world of International Friendlies. Indeed to throw a ‘curveball’ we’ve given you the ‘spicy meatball’ of the USA Vs Sweden.
