Jingle Bells
Jingle Bells
Jingle all the way
Oh what fun it is to predict on a damp ol’ Chrimble day Hey!
Did you know it was Christmas soon? I’m sure I’m not the only one who seems to have been caught off guard by it this year... maybe I’m just getting old.
Anyway, you don’t care about that – you just want footy stuff. So here are last week’s results:
Newcastle United 2 Vs 1 Watford
Wigan 0 Vs 1 Sheff Utd
Burnley 2 Vs 2 Sunderland
Leicester 2 Vs 0 Barnsley
Gillingham 1 Vs 1 Bournemouth
Oldham 1 Vs 1 Brighton
Darlington 0 Vs 1 Notts County
Shrewsbury 3 Vs 0 Hereford
Not too many shocks there I suppose, maybe the Shrews' thumping of the Cow Lovers – which 13 of you predicted – being the only real stand out toughie. Scoring should have been pretty good then?
1 – Gav (Div9) – 1400pts
------------------------------------------------
2 - chutney rebel (Div40) – 1300pts
------------------------------------------------
3 – trelly (Prem) – 1100pts
4 - cmooney3185 (Div14) – 1100pts
5 – Mconnor (Div16) – 1100pts
6 - harv's army (Div38) - 1100pts
7 – screech (Div1) – 1100pts
8 - nevblake (Div1) – 1100pts
9 – WAYNEJG (Div37) – 1100pts
Weeeell not too bad, certainly better than average. Gav amassed his total by perfecting four games (Darlington, Oldham, Gillingham and Newcastle) and by picking up 200pts from two results (Leicester and Burnley).
Well done sir!
It was the last round of predicting for the mini-season last week, and therefore we have a new reigning champeen of the Premeir League. In his fifth year of competing in the world of UKfpl at.madrid has finally conquered all to take the Premiership crown. With an outstanding total of 3700pts he beat off his nearest competitior(s) – swizzfamily – by a massive 600pts. Great scoring and a worthy champ. Congratulations!
The FPL Cup is still in full swing, and if you haven’t been knocked out yet you will find your next game waiting for you at the bottom of the normal predictions. For this round we are offering a Championship Clash of the Whites as Preston entertain Derby – there will be some attendance research needed there alright!
Remember that we are taking a well deserved break over the Chrimbo hols, so all the matches featured aren’t taking place until New Years Day! Teams included are Everton, Reading, Plymouth, West Brom and Scunthorpe.
We hope you have a cracking Christmas and we'll see you next year!
Anthony – aka chiquita
(Dammit, relegated again!)
