Welcome to another weekly roundup of UKfpl fun.
I’m not going to even venture into the whole Liverpool quip thing this week, because I’m just too depressed about the whole business.
I hate blimming Bolton.
Bah.
Anyway we get a bit of respite this week with the Euro Qualifiers taking place, but more on that later.
First let’s have a quick look at last weeks results:
Everton 1 Vs 1 Manchester City
Sheff Utd 2 Vs 1 Middlesbrough
Derby 3 Vs 0 Southend
Southampton 1 Vs 2 QPR
Crewe 5 Vs 1 Carlisle
Huddersfield 2 Vs 2 Bournemouth
Hereford 1 Vs 0 Macclesfield
Rochdale 1 Vs 1 Shrewsbury
There were a few anomalies again this week. I’m not sure any of you will have correctly called Crewe’s mauling of Carlisle, or even Derby’s big win, but overall there were some highly predictable looking scores.
Alas scoring was merely average:
1 – yarns (Div13) – 1200pts
-----------------------------------------------
2 - Jay Swizz (Div17) – 1100pts
-----------------------------------------------
3 - Percy70 (Div13) – 1000pts
3 - Carl Muggleton (Div27) – 1000pts
Oh OK, it was slightly above average. Seeing as I use the (largely made up) 1100pts marker as an average high score.
Congratulations to yarns for taking top spot with the crafty 1200pts he eeked out from this weeks matches.
It’s also interesting to see another member of the prestigious Swizz dynasty making steady progress up the league tables. Jay Swizz is making great head way into joining former UKfpl champions Swizz9 and swizzfamily up in Div1 and the Premier League.
For this weeks predictions, as I mentioned, there is a bit of a change to the norm. The internationals are out in force this weekend so consequentially there isn’t much league action kicking about.
So we have had to search the whole football spectrum to bring you games from the top at England v Macedonia, all the way down to Exeter taking on Halifax in the conference.
That should be an interesting challenge for you.
See you next week.
